How Suggestions Work

Anyone with an account can suggest a recording. The workflow is simple:

  1. Paste a URL — find a stream on ARD Audiothek (or any supported platform) and paste the URL into the suggestion form at /suggest.
  2. Submit — the suggestion enters a queue with status "pending".
  3. Vote — other users see your suggestion and can upvote it. Votes are informational — they help editors prioritize but don't gate approval.
  4. Editor approves — a user with the editor role reviews pending suggestions and approves (or rejects). One click creates a scheduled recording.
  5. Edges record — edge hosts pick up the approved job and record it in parallel.

Cancellation

The author can cancel their own pending suggestion. Editors can reject any pending suggestion with an optional reason. Once approved, the recording is scheduled and proceeds independently.
